ALCOHOLICS AWARENESS:
In 2013 Joe Toweet and Greg Smith presented alcohol awareness talks to government officials, churches and schools. Governor Ruto organized a soccer match where the crowd heard a presentation from Greg Smith. National TV and radio were present to interview Greg.
In 2015 Joe Toweett, Renee' and Greg Smith and Joshua Langat, a Kenyan addition with degrees in Bible and Psychology, held meetings in schools, churches and local gatherings to provide helpful information and counseling. This team organized and provided a study to Governor Ruto on how to establish help for alcoholics in Bomet County.
In response in 2016 Governor Ruto established BOCADA (Bomet County Alcohol and Drug Abuse) with a director and counselor traveling throughout the county. Results: 65 in rehab and lives changed.Greg Smith and Joe Toweett traveled with the team to hear the stories.
